Dutypass verifies hero discounts two ways you choose per group: a six-digit code sent to a work email address only that group has, such as .mil or a school district domain, or a quick review by your staff against a free public lookup, such as a nurse's state licence. It never asks for a picture of a military ID. The discount is tied to the verified customer, so a shared code shows up, and each check lasts as long as you set. No per-check fees from an outside service.

How am I billed?
$15 a month through Shopify's own app billing, on your normal Shopify bill. No card is taken here and there is no share of your sales.
What happens to my data if I uninstall?
Shopify tells the app the moment you uninstall, and the app erases what it kept for your store. Customer data requests from Shopify are answered the same way. The full detail is on the app's own privacy page.
