For shopify merchantsSize charts that convert centimetres and inches correctly and help shoppers pick a size.
Make a size chart once, in the unit it was measured in, and choose what it goes on: one product, a tag, a collection, a product type, a vendor or everything. Every chart is checked as it is saved for gaps and overlaps between sizes. A coverage page shows which chart each product gets and why, which products two charts both claim, and which have none. On the product page the shopper sees the chart in their own units and a size finder that says why it chose that size. Unlimited charts.

The problem
Size charts for a Shopify store that convert between centimetres and inches correctly, catch a chart with a hole or an overlap between sizes, show which products have no chart, and give the shopper a size with the reason.
Apparel and footwear sellers. The incumbent (ESC Size Charts, 3.3 stars, 140 reviews) is free to three charts with a watermark, then $4.99. Its recent reviews say support goes unanswered, it has not worked properly for months, and one says the company is gone. Its listing mentions no cm/inch switch and no size finder.
What it does
Inside Tapeline
1 inch = 2.54 cm; centimetres become inches to the nearest half, inches become centimetres to the nearest whole — what a tape measure is read to.
A one-unit step between sizes (S to 36, M from 37) is how charts are written and is fine; a bigger step is a hole ("a 41" chest falls between M and L"), and ranges that cross are an overlap ("a 33½" waist is both M and L"). Backwards, missing and out-of-order rows are errors.
product beats tag beats collection beats product type beats vendor beats everything. Two charts at the same level is a conflict and is listed.
, in the shopper's own units: "Bust 36" is within M (35-37½")". When measurements point at different sizes it leans to the fit they asked for (snug or relaxed) and says so; off the chart, it says to ask the shop.
