Progeny Apps / Storefront & catalogue / Signpost
For shopify merchantsEvery dead link people followed into the store, the page each one most likely meant and why — and redirects that are checked before they are made.
Signpost lists your store's broken links (404s) most-visited first, with scanner probes set aside so the list is real visitors; search engine visits are kept and marked. For each dead address it suggests the live page it most likely meant, with the reason and how sure it is. One press makes the redirect, refused if it would loop, land on another dead page, or never work. It also checks your existing redirects for chains, loops and dead ends, and imports and exports Shopify's redirect CSV.

The problem
Lists the dead links people followed into your store and makes checked redirects to the right page.
Merchants who renamed or deleted products — which is every merchant, sooner or later. Shopify itself logs no 404s and only offers redirects one by one. The incumbent (Redirect Hero, 5.0 stars, 160 reviews) logs 404s at $2.90 with manual redirects; automatic redirects and CSV import are on $4.90. Its listing mentions no similarity matching, no chain or loop checks and no filtering of scanner traffic.
What it does
Inside Signpost
Requests for .php, .env, wp- paths and other probes, and anything from a generic robot, are counted, not listed. Search engine crawlers are kept and marked — a dead link Google still visits is ranking leaking away.
Words shared with the dead address (with "subscribe" matching "subscriptions" by stem), a matching number — v60-dripper-size-02 goes to the 02, not the 01 — and the same kind of page. Strong at 60%, possible at 35%, and below that it says so instead of pretending.
Refused: to a page that is not live, to itself, from a live page (Shopify never follows those), or into a loop. One aimed at an address that is itself redirected goes straight to the end, and older redirects pointing at the new one's start are moved along with it.
checks the redirects the store already has: chains, loops, dead ends and ones that never fire. Chains are fixed in one press; loops and dead ends are left for a person, because which way they should point is a decision.
imports row by row through the same checks, with a line-numbered report of what was refused, and exports back.
